How to identify a new business opportunity

As entrepreneurs or budding entrepreneurs, we spend a whole bunch of time, thinking and thinking how to make good money and build good business. Then we come up with THE IDEA! That's it - Beyonce outfits for eKasi dogs! It's unique, it's cute, it's funny.. okay wake up dude. It's probably only funny because, it's 2.46am, and you've not had much sleep. You are what we call a sample of ONE. So - the answer is do some super simple research.

1. Choose and area or a few areas.
2. Design the simples question for people to answer - like what product or service do you miss in your area? OR
3. What would you pay for if it was available here today?
4. Ask a lot of people. Dedicate serious time to this research and you will find the answers you're looking for.
