Vusi Khumalo Foundation Home

The Vusi Khumalo Foundation is the brainchild of award-winning and world-renowned South African drummer Vusi Khumalo. An ardent champion and advocate of South African arts and culture, music in particular, Khumalo has a vision to create a timeless legacy preserving the works of South African artists in the country, on the continent of Africa, and throughout the world.

South African artists have historically made a huge global impact through their art. From Hugh Masekela, to Miriam Makeba, Dumile Feni, William Kentridge, Marlene Dumas, Johnny Clegg, Charlize Theron, Trevor Noah, Black Coffee, J.M. Coetzee, Zakes Mda, Andre Brink, Nadine Gordimer, to name but a few, and going back as far as Solomon Linda, South Africans have made a mark internationally.

For Khumalo, artists must be acknowledged, remembered, and honoured for their contribution to the country’s wealth of talent, so that future generations may continue to be inspired and guided by those who came before them.
