Ice Blasting
Our services also extend to Dry Ice Blasting.
What is Dry Ice Blasting?
- Dry ice particles are propelled to supersonic speed by compressed air
- Impact and clean a surface
- Creates micro-thermal shock (-79º C).
- Kinetic energy of dry ice pellets and the air pressure break the bond between the coating and the substrate. Dirt pops off the coating from inside out and the air stream removes it from the surface.
Key Benefits of Dry Ice Blasting
- Non-abrasive Process.
- Decreased scrap.
- No secondary waste.
- Reduce down time.
- Reduce labour costs.
- Clean machinery in place.
- Environmentally responsible.
- Reduce overall cleaning time up to 80%.
- Safe/Non tax for food applications.
