Biography
Kagiso Segone aka Vibration Taylor is 40 year old hip hop artist hailing from Khutsong Township in the Wes Rand of Gauteng province. His career started in his High School years when he won the first prize in a rap competition in 2003. He was also a dedicated participant in activities such as the school choir, poetry, drama, sports as well as dancing, where he was awarded with certificates in annual Eisteddfods competitions. He began recording music before finishing school and he decided to pursue his studies in the media field to broaden his knowledge of the industry in order to further his music career. His first official project was a Mixtape titled "Raggaflex" released independently in 2009 and his second "Planet My Music" in 2012. His recent music video was shot in 2013 which was launched at a local entertainment venue in his hometown, Carletonville, where he is currently based. He has been featured in music group projects such as "The Sequal" with 018 Rephsodic Hoodlums, Army of Loose Cannons and Wes Guz, a local kwaito on the project "Sbhekana Kanjani". His rap style is focused on the Motswako sub-genre of Hip-Hop, an authentic musical style originating from Mafikeng in the North West which consists of a mixture of African languages mainly Setswana and English as well as other international languages. Vibration has been featured in local newspapers such as Carltonville and Randfontein Herald as well as Seipone Sa Sechaba which covers the West Rand region. |
