The Box Shop Digital Hub Home
We’ve built a township-based digital hub referred to as “The Box Shop Digital Hub”, building it smart sustainably using upcycled shipment container infrastructure. The Hub is based in Gauteng Province “CITY of Ekurhuleni municipality” uniquely pinned/located in an urban modern township and "young business precinct ecosystem and district set up in a tourism destination named “Vosloorus Boulevard”.
The Box Shop Digital Hub intention is to promote digital literacy and the imparting of digital skills to township youth, capacitating them with necessary digital skills to help them better navigate this new world of 4IR, whilst simultaneously supporting them to create income generation opportunities to help advance the development of the township digital economies.
The Box Shop Digital Hub sustainability strategy and model is to provide ACCESS to kasipreneurs by making it easy for them to access and utilise HUB facilities and resources (Multimedia facilities, fast uncapped free Wi-fi Zone, PODCAST studio, PHOTOGRAPHY and VIDEOGRAPHY suite and Digital Agency services) transform the transitioning of communities and businesses to a state of digital readiness.
