HOW WE CELEBRATE LOCAL PRODUCERS

Soweto's innovation, production and manufacturing across multiple sectors, is dynamic and vibrant. To ensure that this community of kasipreneurs are fully exposed to relevant markets, the Soweto Go Gola Summit is launching on 21 June. The summit will take place in November during Global Entrepreneurship Week, but the design of the event will be done as a collective, with the founders, African Cooperative Desk, a Champion of entrepreneurship, KasiKonnect.online, the digital ecosystem connecting kasipreneurs to the ecosystem, and the South West Gauteng College, a centre for excellence in learning and entrepreneurship alongside the producing kasipreneurs. We believe that today, too much is launched without consulting those most impacted by the intervention and this time, we will ensure human centred design alongside the kasipreneurs who best understand the challenges they face. Over time we will invite brands, financial institutions and economic development agencies, but for now, it's all about what the kasipreneur needs.
