About us NYS Chilli Relish is a growing small business founded by Nozipho Sithetho in the Vaal area, specifically in Sebokeng. The business started as a simple home-based project during the time of the COVID-19 pandemic, when Nozipho decided to turn her passion for cooking and chillies into a business opportunity. At the beginning, she made chilli relish using ingredients from her home garden and packaged the product in basic plastic containers. As demand for her product increased, she improved the quality and presentation by switching to glass jars, which helped build a stronger brand image and attract more customers. Over time, NYS Chilli Relish gained recognition in the local community. The business participated in local competitions and markets, such as the Township and Entrepreneur Alliance (TEA) competition and the Emfuleni Pop-up Market, where it received awards and increased visibility. As the business grew, it expanded from a small home operation to supplying products in local retail spaces, including a BK Lifestyle in Sebokeng. Today, NYS Chilli Relish continues to grow, with plans to expand into larger retail stores while maintaining its focus on quality, hygiene, and locally produced products.
