Meet the founders
Nooe & Matshepo Lehoko Jonas Nooe Lehoko is a proudly South African entrepreneur, educator, and community builder from the heart of Sasolburg in the Vaal Triangle. With a career rooted in vocational training, mechanical engineering, and artisan development, Jonas has spent over two decades empowering youth and professionals through education, skills facilitation, and mentorship across South Africa’s industrial and training sectors. A qualified mechanical fitter, assessor, and moderator, Jonas has collaborated with national SETAs and training centres such as Sedibeng Training Centre, Charter Academy, and Meta trade to shape future artisans and industry professionals. He is certified in project management, occupational health and safety, and solar energy, reflecting a versatile skill set and a deep commitment to progress. In 2023, alongside his wife Matshepo Lehoko, Jonas co-founded Nooe Wine – a dream rooted in their shared love for agriculture, culture, and community. Through this venture, he is championing township-based excellence by building South Africa’s first Vaal Wine Distillery in Zamdela, reconnecting wine production with local pride and black-owned innovation. His journey reflects the true spirit of African entrepreneurship: grounded, generational, and globally-minded. With every bottle of Nooe Wine, Jonas is not only bottling flavour – he’s bottling legacy. |
