ITSAGO AI Home
ITSAGO was founded by Banele Mgwevu, a TUT software graduate from Etwatwa. Early in his career he was getting interviews but struggling in them, so he built a tool to practise. That tool became ITSAGO. Banele is joined by co-founder Milani Nomnganga, who leads communications and strategy, supports app testing, and builds partnerships.
Our mission is to make career readiness accessible to every young South African, not just those who can afford private coaching. On an everyday phone, young people can:
- Build a professional, ATS-friendly CV
- Practise video interviews with an AI interviewer and get feedback on every answer
- Get guidance from an AI Career Coach
ITSAGO has grown through word of mouth, with 7,000+ downloads on Google Play and features in MyBroadband, TruFM and The Citizen. We're aiming to launch on the Apple App Store at the start of next week. We work with universities such as TUT to bring career-readiness tools to students, and on 14 October 2026 Banele is speaking on the panel "AI and the Future of Entry-Level Jobs in South Africa" at the SALGA Future of HR Conference.
