Testing of pumpkin products

With regards to acceptability of food human consumption, before the products could reach the market, there is a protection order in conjunction with SABS Food Safety Management: Hazard analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) 10330:2020 and Requirements for Prerequisite Programs (PRPs) SANS 10049:2019.

Therefore, there are tests that are required to be performed, being:

  • Microbiological test
  • Nutritional analysis (information)
  • Shelf-life testing (inside the fridge and on-shelve)
