BEF membership & policy position

BEF membership of the organization is open to all township-based business organizations with a minimum of 100 members and are committed to the promotion of township economy development.

Policy position

  1. Protection of Township & Rural Economy from Exploitation.
  2. Equitable allocation of financial resources and none financial resources to township & rural economy.
  3. Policy advocacy (monitor the implementation of TEDA through out the Gauteng Province and Nationally)
  4. Attracting Investments into the townships and rural arrears
  5. Capacity Building of Township enterprises and Entrepreneurs through Skills Development, Infrastructure Support and Access to Funding.
  6. Developing a Township Economy Fund that is blended (60%debt and 40% grant) to facilitate accelerated access of township entrepreneurs to funding.
