African Cooperative Desk (ACD) – Tourism and Hospitality Sector Home
Introduction
This sector project was started in 2024 by a group of leaders in the sector who came together to form cooperatives in the sector to create business opportunities and employment for themselves and taking charge of SA economy.
About the sector
They hosted their first indaba summit in 2024 at South Western Gauteng College and Jabulani Safe Hub as the Indaba was designed for the Kasipreneurs and Cooperatives for the Agriculture sector for the connected ecosystem.
African Cooperative Desk drives these connected ecosystems, both digitally and physically. This sector will also come to life digitally. The ecosystem sees sustainable development for the local entrepreneurs and the continuous growth of partnership. This sector that would work towards resource management, therefore creating jobs for unemployed community members, improving skills by adopting applied conservation technologies; and acquiring skills with the aid of capacity building programme technology production practices and increasing professionals and production levels in the sector to provide continuous productivity with the intention of reducing poverty strains and creating wealth in the sector.
