Often referred to as the second internet revolution, blockchain technology is expanding its potential, being adopted into various industries, and generating new values. Amidst all the buzz, the concepts of Web3 and the Internet of Value (IoV) have caught the eyes of many. Web3 and the IoV, both enabled by blockchain technology, are deeply related to one another.
In this session, Emi Yoshikawa, VP of Strategy & Operations at Ripple will talk about how a token economy is foundational to Web3 and how the IoV powers the token economy. She will also discuss how Ripple drives the IoV by addressing challenges in cross-border payments and beyond, and the role government, education and public sectors play in realizing the true IoV.
